Socom: Navy Seals

Been playing Navy Seals. I'll never be a Navy Seal. That's just fine with me. Because on the second mission I've died twenty times. Part of the game is playing as one of the seals. Of course I'm going to want to play other military games now.

SOCOM: Navy Seals

So I beat LOTR last night. Kind of left me, well.. unsatisfied. I think there could be a lot more exploration in the game.

So I took out SOCOM: Navy Seals. I had studied the hand controls, but still found doing all the stuff awkward. I managed to get through the first level, though. It's interesting though.

X-men Legends: Senior Graduation examine passed

So what I did is I played as wolverine for a little bit and used one of his moves where I can attack multiple opponents at once. Then switched to cyclops to get rid of the statues. It took a few times but I got to it. Still want to level up emma frost a bit, but with the new danger room exercises that won't be hard.

Then I played kingdom hearts. Did better than last time but jumping is still a problem. Then switched to LOTR: the 3rd age. Got a new move for one of the characters. I'm getting to the point where I've gone as far as I can go with some of the characters.

X-men game I wish for

One thing I would like to see is a game that started with the beginning of the x-men, then took them all the way up. Or maybe before when professor x was forming the x men.

X-men Legends: Graduation examine

So I'm playing x-men legends. I'm in the danger room, doing the senior graduation examine, which basically is you have to protect professor x, destroy 6 statues, beat so many enemies. It's hard, and I've done it alot. I'm trying to level up one of the x-men because apparently I need her for one of the missions in he game. So what my strategy is to protect professor x, then to last 30 seconds go destroy the statues. I did that but I still didn't pass the examine.

So I switched to kingdom hearts. I'm on a level that has you do something interesting. It has you grow or shrink. I think this could be used more in game mechanics.

x-men legends: shadow king

So there is this villain, shadow king that I've fought twice before in the game. So I manage to beat him this time. Then I go back to the mansion, and think I'm safe.

Well, I go into the mansions brig and look up enemies profiles. That's where it happens. I get a green screen of death. Maybe it's just my playstation. Oh well, should have saved. Now I'll have to go back and beat him again.

x-men legend: controls

So I'm playing x-men legends and this enemy pops up. Well I have a hard time controling where I'm going. So that was annoying.

One thing I was thinking is that the AI could help solve puzzles. Like give suggestions when one is stuck on something. "Perhaps we should go around."

X-men legends: found another bug

I really love the game, and I do love it even though it has it's flaws. Considering I like it's got to be good. Like one of the enemies refused to die. I mean I was doing all sorts of things and it wouldn't give up.

No matter how many techbits I have in the game it's not enough. You never know when you need to buy a bunch more health potions, or something or other.

Perhaps, they have already done some of the stuff in x-men legends 2. For example the environment in some ways could be more interactive. Yet with the PS3 if they could combine the graphic's of let's say omnimushi 3 or LOTR: the 3rd age, I think they might have a winner.

Corporate buyouts

I was reading this article. I think there is the possibility of it. Maybe the games would improve on the console if Microsoft bought capcom and capcom started making games for xbox.

Perhaps, what nintendo should do is with the money they make from the Wii, is buy some stakes in some studios such as capcom. That would act as a "speedbump", too a takeover from other game console makers and help keep developers developing for their console.

Kingdom Hearts: Gumby Ship

Anyway, I traveled to the world of Alice in Wonderland. How you travel to other worlds reminds me of star fox on the n64. I'm currently trying to find some evidence there. I keep going back to the room with the "strange room".

So I looked up x-men legends on IGN. They got a bunch of different versions. I wish when you looked it up you could switch versions but anyway I digress. The guide said it was simply find the lever that opens the gate. Well, I felt foolish because I couldn't find my way through the level. But eventually I made it through.

One thing I was wondering is perhaps one could use a saved data on x-men legends for other marvel games. Don't know, we'll have to see if they do that or not.

How to encourage people to buy PS2 games

I think it would encourage people to buy more PS2 games to bundle the games. For example, x-men legends with x-men legends 2, or kingdom hearts with kingdom hearts 2. Bundling isn't new, but it might sell more PS2 games.

Kingdom Hearts

So I have been playing kingdom Hearts. Yeah it's been out for awhile. It kind of has a hybrid battle system between the turn-based and action styles, which i find interesting.

Anyway, I really like watchng the cut scenes I really do. But I would enjoy a way to skip them because I died once and had to go through the whole thing. Luckily I wasn't late to work.

I find the inventory system hard to do too. I have health potions, I just can't find out how to use them right now. Another problem I'm having is the traveling to other worlds part. But I hopefully will find it out eventually.

One thing is I really like the part about creating one's own gumbi ship. Just figuring out how to use it might be nice.

How PS3 is shapping up

Been reading some articles on PS3 allowing homebrew. It will be interesting for game developers. I've said it before, and I will say it again, I dont' see many titles on the xbox I like. Personally, I wish they would come out with a bigger harddrive like 120 gig one.

But I got a bunch of PS2 games to play still. Going to wait till I can get high speed internet, and till the price drops. Sure things have changed since the PS2 has launched. I could definately see nintendo and the Playstation duking it out for the next generation of console wars.

Teen Titans

I've watched the television show and so I was interested in the game. It looks nice but I wish they had gone with a more anime style in the game. I wish you could switch between people. I would have liked it too be more of an rpg like x-men legends. Objectives so you know what you have to do would have been a nice touch also.

Getting Sued over song usage

One can be sued if a song even "reminds" someone of another song. One thing I was thinking, is if the "music" for the game was all environmental effects. Then it would be hard to sue a game developer and win. Of course you could always sue for any reason. But hey it would be one less thing.

Internet speeds and games

I wonder how long until games start requiring a cable modem to play as part of the hardware requirements. Cable modems have been out for a long time now. Personally, I'm still on dial-up but it makes me wonder.

Types I'm mostly like to play on a computer

I'm mostly likely to play a mmorpg on a computer. I've played several on the computer, including Anarchy Online, and Asheron's Call. I've played several shooters and rts games, but mostly they have been on the console.

I was reading this article. I think he's got a point, creating a seperate user idea for every game is well.. redundant. Perhaps sony should market to the offline experience. Another thought perhaps if another company offers a better solution, well, perhaps sony should just buy it. Then that would be one less advantage for microsoft.

Playstation controller settings

One thing I wish for is that I could have a setting for controllers, that would move from game to game. So if in one game you used x button to jump, then the next game would use x button to jump. One thing I was thinking it would be good is because if you had a bunch of games keeping the controls can be a headache.

LOTR: Animations

I was thinking in the game when you have a character do an attack that for example, lowers there armer rating perhaps have a shield break, or armor break off. Or if an enemy is paralized one could have limb damage or something in the game.

Ai characteristic affect ai behavior and dialog?

Too bad you couldn't give a list of traits to an ai, then have the ai act a certain way, and speak a certain way. For instance, let's say you had space invaders from mars. You could set there behavior as aggresive, there verbal communications as non-existant, and there attitude as hostile.

Duel shock and motion sensors?

I was thinking how interesting it would be to have a duel shock and motion sensors in a controler. I'm being to like the duel shock too. Too bad it won't be on the ps3.

Omnimushi: Camera Angles

It's alot easier to defeat an opponent one can see. As I play omnimushi, sometimes I have difficulty seeing my opponent. Which sometimes is a pain.
