I'm a fan of tabletop rpg's. However, sometimes the books I would like are no longer in print. There are sometimes several reasons for this. Sometimes the company wants to focus on another game system. Sometimes there isn't enough demand for the publisher to publish the book.

Though, I think this could be solved by print on demand publishing. For one thing, there would be enough for one publish a game system. Also, you wouldn't have to print a large bunch of book up at once.

Been playing freelancer that just came in the mail. I like it alot, one thing is you can click on things, then the computer will do things for you instead of having to manually click things.

I saw this and I couldn't help but think how interesting a game setting this would be. Well for instance how many games have atlantis in them? Well, this is kind of like that.

Dojo Days

I talked with the guy at Labryth Games about it and gave him a printout of it. He said he would talk to the L5R players. So we'll see how it goes. One thing is the samurai fund is like 16,000 dollars. It would be nice to see someone from the area getting a chunk of that.

Getting into L5R.

Considered getting a book on the secrets of the Lion clan. It might help roleplay the character better. I think I'm leaning toward a Lion Shuga (priest). Anyway, I might be able to play next saturday. Have to see what happens.

Got the L5R Handbook

Looks interesting, few ideas for characters have come into my head. Mantis Bounty Hunter, Lion Shudenja (priest), Crab scout. I plan on preparing several characters depending on the other characters that are in the campaign. So I'm going to read the character hand book then get some more books. The interesting thing is I probably could have gotten the handbook off of amazon, with another book, (since I could have gotten it with free shipping and a discout). Oh well, live and learn I guess.

D20

One thing with Pen and Paper settings is it would be nice to be able to play whatever scenario's you wanted with out having to deal with a new game system or make new characters for that matter. D20 would be good for this. But why are they unlikely to port Space Drive to D20? Because they have the star's war license. Talk about why I dont' like it, I'll stick with alternity then.

If anything I'm getting more interested in Gurps. You want science fiction go for it, you want alternate earth, go ahead. You want fantasy yup go that too.

I've ordered a legend of the five rings handbook. Should be in some time. I could have ordered more stuff but didn't know if I should since I don't know how much I will get into it.

Been thinking about getting the legend of five rings handbook, and the weird wars handbook. I want to play in those campaigns, but first I need to do my homework. Also been thinking about getting some alternity dice, so I can make my own dice rolls in alternity.

Personally, I'm more interested in person to person gaming, then video games. For example, I know someone who wants to run a weird wars campaign (It's a game based on ww2). It should be interesting.
