So my friend plays on a private server. Here is the thing though. The first one he's tried melted down. The second one shut down. I've beginning to wonder if it's worth even playing on one at all?

Usually what happens is people say, "we have a server" and start playing on it. What I think needs to happen is some coordination between servers. Like if people could share servers in the areas.

So I finished the quest to rescue the traders. Got a new set of plate armor. I figure the better armor the less potions I need. Also went on a quest to find the archelogist.

So I've been going on a quest to free some trader's. Problem is the bandits end up killing them. Oh, well, atleast I get more experience out of it. Each time I fail I try and save the game that way I don't lose my experience from it. One thing is I'm leveling up certain spells such as Ghost sword, and summon, that keeps the pirates occupied while I try and rescue the trader.

So I've been taking my character on some minor quests like find 4 blue mushrooms to make a potion for a kid, donating books to the school library, etc, that I didnt' do before. One thing that I've been thinking is that one thing with Fable is it took a long time to make. It also got game of the year. Even with the flexibility of the game, I was I find myself wishing to do things that I can't. Yet, you still need some guidence on things.

One way to get around this would be to use an opensource engine. For instance, if two games could share resources, then it might lower the time needed to make a game. Another way would be if a program could ranomily make levels. That way each time would be different.

So I went to the Hook coast, to find the key. Anyway, it was blocked by a barrier. So I went back to the Hero's Guild and found a book in Maze's quarters. Then went too the guildmaster and he would read an inscription from it when I got close to the key.

So I went back to the hook coast, and found did the above. Then I found maze keeping my character's sister prisoner. He tried convincing me that Theresa was working for Jack of Blades. However, Jack of Blades appeared and trapped my character.

Then I fought maze. The real reason he saved my character was because of he needed someone of the bloodline because only that bloodline would the key make itself know to. He didn't know my character's sister had survived. So I beat him.

Then I went to stop Jack of Blades from activating the four sites. I ran as fast as I could and couldn't stop him. Then I went back to the Guild hall and found it ablaze. I went into the chamber of destiny and fought Jack of Blades. I tried three times, and failed. So now i'm starting the game over.

So I went on a quest to the arena. Basically fight a bunch of monsters that get tougher as you progress. The character whisper team up with me. After beating the arena I found out that my character's mother was a hero.

Then Theresa my character's sister wanted to see me. I went and found her. She said that the my character's mother was kept prisoner in a dungeon. So I had to go save the archelogist, from some monsters. He told me about a passage.

However before that then I had to go save his brother. You see his brother was help captive by the guards. You see the mayor Lady grey, killed her sister. So I had to get the "Grey House", to free the guy.

Then I went to save a kid from some hobs cave. I had to go through a mess of them. However, when I got to the kid, a fairie wanted me to exchange the kid for another human. Well, I couldn't find another one so I had to liberate the kid.

Then I went to the graveyard. I had to gather the armor, shield, sword, and helmet for a skeleton, so they would open the passage. Well, had to fish the shield out. So that's where I am now.

So I got Fable for christmas, and started playing it. Basically, your village get's raided. You survive as a young boy, and are taken to the Hero's Guild. Where you learn the ways of the 3 heroic disciplines; archery, sword play, and magic.

So I've done a few quests so far, one involved fighting off bandits from a farmers house. Another involved finding an archelogist. Another one involved escorting traders (had to do that one twice, the trick is to clear the area before you take them into it.) By my favorite is where you find your sister, who happens to now be a bandit seeress. (Although, there was an error, after I beat twin Blades the program crashed. So I had to redo it. :( Oh well, got to take a break.)

So I saw this, and I didn't know to laugh or cry. Thing is now it's not just our products they are ripping off. It's also, the japanese. Thing so now it's not just one country that is being intellectual property that's being copied.

So I tried out mechquest. It's interesting, since it's a flash game. Although, to get more features you have to pay money. Guess I'd rather see advertising.

So I downloaded fate onto my computer. This time I got to level 11 in the dungeon. The levels were different this time. Then my free game session expired. I'm considering buying the game. I think it's a good methology, because then your probably going to want to buy the game to finish it.

So I started Virtual Villagers. It's kind of like sims in way. You grab a villager, place it over something and then they might do something such as forage for food, or research. You also get points to spend on things, and you can build buildings, and solve puzzles. I'll probably be playing it again.

So I played another game on my dad's computer, called Dinner Dash. Basically, your a waitresses at a restaurant. It's interesting for a little while but after that it loses your the appeal.

So I was checking out my parent's new computer. There is a game on their that is a trial version I think called fate. It's a neat little game, kind of like half-life. Anyway, it was fun while it lasted.

Really wish I could buy a game right now, but if I buy it online then it will be a little while before it gets here. So I'm going to wait to christmas. I guess that's an advantage of downloadable games. When I want to play I can download it.

So I'm playing kingdom hearts now. So I beat a big monster in Alice in Wonderlands world. Then beat Cerebus in Hercules world. Then I went to Tarzan's world.

Had to find a bunch of pictures. Then Tarzan saw them, he went off. I had to find him, then I fould him had to go protect a bunch of gorillas. Then the gorilla ran into Jane's tent and she disappeared. Now I have to go back to the tree house, but I have to do so swinging from some vines. It's kind of frustrating thing.

I've found a bunch of little stuff, like Hi-potions, and stuff. Also found more dogs. Some of the areas are still closed off. It would be interesting to find out what is behind there.

So I beat X-men Legends 2 tonight. It wasn't as much a matter of beating the main villain down, so much as destroying the power generators. Yeah, thing is I unlocked Deadpool. So there' is only one person to unlock now, and I think that's professor X. I'm still go through the game and find things I missed.

Thursday, December 13, 2007

So in x-men legends I found the danger room disk that has the graduation exercise and bought it. So I've done a bunch of those danger room scenarios. One thing is I'm going back and looking for stuff I missed and in that way leveling up Ironman.

I've been told part of the fun of video games is figuring the stuff out. Well, I would find it much more fun to be able to get everything in the game. However, I think some of the stuff is in areas that I don't have a key to, so either it was on a guy I had to defeat, or I was given it earlier and turned it back in. Hopefully, when I go back I will be able to find it.

You know I heard, "there's no market for linux games!" Well, now with wal-mart selling a 200 dollar desktop linux computer, dell offering linux machines, and asus selling the eee machine, I beg to differ. Perhaps now we will start to see more games for linux. Although, for a game to be ported to linux, it had to be good. I hope that doesn't change.

So I played more freelancer today. One thing that really bugs me is that I can't tractor beam in nanobats, missiles, and shield batteries and put them in the cargo hold. Instead once the maximum is filled up I have to leave them. .....Oh well..

So I was playing x-men legends 2, and basically I was in act 5. What I've been doing with the game is basically align some mirrors in the game. In the process, I found all the homing beacons and got access to the secret bonus area.

So all the guys leveled, so I switched the team and went into the bonus area. The area was like a double figure 8 in which you had to active certain switches. Anyway, I unlocked Iron man in the game. One idea I thought of is that it would be cool if the walls moved around at random. That would make the game harder to pass.

So I've been playing Brain Training alot. It's the kind of game I like alot, since it's supposed to help "Train" your Brain. It takes only a few minutes to play it. However, I don't know if it's because I know how to play the game now or if I'm really using more of my brain or if it's just what they want me to think. Time will only tell.
